Landmark case sees Scottish workers win unfair dismissal cases against G1

A group of five staff, who had been working at Grosvenor Cafe in Glasgow, have won a landmark case against the G1 Group, Scotland's largest hospitality employers, over wrongful and unfair dismissals. The company, which has never before been taken to a full tribunal for unfair dismissal, had, according to Judge Shona Maclean, failed to carry out a reasonable and proper procedure, and that the decision to dismiss "fell out with the band of reasonable responses which a reasonable employer might have adopted".
