The jurisdiction to hear claims for breach of contract, conferred on employment tribunals by the Employment Tribunals Extension of Jurisdiction (England and Wales) Order 1994 art.3, was confined to claims brought by employees against their employers. It did not extend to claims brought by employees against persons other than their employers, even if the contract was somehow connected with their employment.
