Reforms to public sector exit payments: response to the consultation

A Treasury publication outlines responses to its consultation on proposals to make public sector exit compensation terms fairer and more consistent. It notes that responses have strengthened the Government's view that the most appropriate way of moving forward with the reforms is for the departments responsible for the different public sector workforces to seek to reach agreement on packages of reforms appropriate to those workforces, within an overall, centrally-set framework.
